• What’s SciAbile?

This project was created in 2002, thanks to BMW sponsorship, with the purpose of giving the chance to people affected by different type of disabilities to experience the world of ski and snowboard.
SciAbile is a specific course run by professional qualified instructors.
Sauze d’Oulx Project has guided, up till now, more that 400 people (from Italy and abroad) through our fabulous ski resort.
Our professional and technical equipments are designed to adapt to the characteristics of every person and to the ones of any ski and snowboard, including mono-ski, bi-ski and tandem ski.

 Furthermore we are also equipped with stabilizers for people who underwent limb amputation, and helmets with megaphone for blind people.
Mountain sports can be very useful to sustain abilities recovery and also to discover unexpressed and latent potentials. This is due to a motivating and exciting environment, in fact, mountain areas’ wide range of terrain stimulates people’s abilities to adapt to different  background and to afford new challenges.

• To whom is addressed?

The program is addressed to people affected by physical, cognitive and sensory disabilities.
We have courses to suit every age and ability, it is possible to participate to individual or group lessons (schools, association, rehabilitation institution, or friends). According to age, and psycho-physical characteristics our classes are specifically  tailored to meet your goal and expectations.
Depending on your needs, you can choose one of the following option:
-    one lesson a week for 3 or 4 weeks
-    3 or 4 consecutive days

How to participate
We only require you to download and fill in the application form (.DOC o .PDF) and sent it back by e-mail or by fax.
SciAbile courses are suspended during the busy periods of Christmas vacation and Carnevale due to unsafe conditions for our students on the slopes.
Participation in our SciAbile courses is completely free of charge.
